As part of my citrus preservation weekend, I decided it would be fun to make candied grapefruit peels from all of the grapefruit skins that I wasn’t going to use through making my Grapefruit Marmalade with Lime and Ginger. I found this recipe through Bon Appetit and followed it pretty exactly (click the link so you can make it too!). The results turned out great, and my pictures are below. These taste like super zesty gummy candy, which I am certainly here for this holiday season. Enjoy!
Boiling (done twice) in water to soften the peels Candying by boiling peels in 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water Remove from solution and allow to dry Toss in sugar to remove remaining stickiness (and to make them look extra special!)
